Black Copper Marans- Hatching Eggs

** Please only order ONE half dozen Black Copper Marans hatching eggs per order. We have small breeding pens and only want to ship the freshest eggs.**  If you order more that ONE -1/2 dozen per order, your order will be canceled
 
 
Our line of Black Copper Marans are bred for temperament and egg color.  They are some of the Friendliest birds on the farm. We do strive to always work on SOP with our flock. These are some of our favorites on the farm.  Black Copper Marans are a docile, large breed chicken. They will lay 150-200 eggs a year.  Black Copper Marans are a dual purpose breed. They are good in hot and cold enviroments. Roosters may need extra care in the colder climates as his large comb is subject to frostbite. 
Originated in France. 
Fantasic for backyard flocks and and or families with children. 
 
We cannot guarantee that the chicks or hatching eggs that you purchase will lay dark eggs like the parent stock. It is somewhat "luck of the draw" in egg genetics. We are always working on our genetics to darken our egg color, but we have to take care to do justice to the breed standard AND we put temperment above all else due to having small children. 
 
**Note- We are currently not offering our Huckleberry Eggers (Black Copper Marans with heavy bloom to make purple appearing eggs) until we feel like they are ready to go as a group. We may occasionally put one in a rainbow pack randomly from time to time. 
 
We keep a small flock and will only send the freshest eggs.  We can only offer a 1/2 dozen Black Copper Marans hatching eggs per transaction. Please remember- The eggs that are sent are from the same hen group. Their "ink cartriges" will lighten through the laying season, but it is still from my same breeding stock.  Thank you for understanding.
