We are not a Hatchery. We are a small-scale operating farm. These are not hatchery quality birds.  Prices reflect this.

Our orders are shipped on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to ensure our customers orders are filled as quickly as time (and the birds) allow. We are dealing with live animals, and we are on their schedule. Our birds are given quality feed, free range capabilities, supplements, treats, and pampered more than I ever expected to pamper a chicken. Again, we are on their time schedule.

HATCHING EGGS- 

Hatching eggs are a gamble. We check fertility rates prior to allowing our eggs to ship. We carefully package your eggs after checking them over. We use foam shippers to ship your hatching eggs. Once they leave my hands they are no longer my responsibility. We cannot guarantee your hatch rates, there are too many variables. It is your responsibility to do the research and make sure your equipment is working for incubation.  The USPS is hard on hatching eggs. 2025 the USPS implemented an additional $15 fee for Hatching eggs and chicks. This price will reflect in the shipping cost. $50 insurance will be added to each package unless otherwise requested by the buyer and agreed upon by the seller.  It is your responsibility as the buyer to file a claim should you need with USPS. We do try to include extra hatching eggs per order. We will do our best to try to include the same breed. If the same breed is not available, a different type will be added as available. All packages will be "held at post office for pickup" unless otherwise requested and agreed upon by buyer and seller.

CHICKS-

Chicks are sold as day old unless otherwise stated. Local pickup is preferred, however shipping is offered. We pack our babies with the utmost care. Our babies are checked over and shipped in quality USPS approved boxes. We put grogel and pads to help the babies on the journey to their new homes. Heat packs can be added on buyer request.  We ship our chicks through USPS priority express.  Each package is insured for $100 unless otherwise requested by the buyer and agreed upon by seller. When chicks arrive make sure you report any issues that may have occurred during transport right away. It is your responsibility as the buyer to report and file a claim to the USPS if needed. The USPS implemented a $15 fee for live animals and this will be reflected in shipping price. We Ship our chicks through USPS, Priority Express, to insure your babies will arrive as quickly as possible. Please pick up promptly after the post office calls. Your babies will be more than ready to be at their new home. Additionals may be available for purchase on an over hatch at time of shipping.

We suggest that you have your brooder set up ahead of time. the babies will be ready for food and water upon arrival. We like to give electrolytes when they arrive to help them out with a little boost.

**Minimum amount of chicks need to be met for order to be accepted when placed. Chick breeds can be mixed and matched to hit minimums. We have a minimum order number to help the chicks stay warm during transit. 

March-May: 8 Chick Minimum

June-September:6 Chick Minimum

September-Oct: 8 Chick Minimum

**Local pickup-minimum is 3 chicks.

Pullets, laying hens and roosters can be sold individually

OTHER HOUSEKEEPING

Sometimes we will have extras per hatch. If you are interested in adding additional chicks in your order please message us with your invoice number as the subject line to let us know you are interested in purchasing possible extras on hatch day.

We care deeply for our flock. We participate in the National Poultry Improvement Plan. We also elect to participate to make sure our flock is avian influenza tested and clean. We have biosecurity practices in place on our farm and for that reason we will have special practices and meeting areas in place for the safety of our birds. Because of our biosecurity practices, we are unable to accept returns or do exchanges with the birds you have received from us.
